In Nancy Atherton’s Aunt Dimity and the Village Witch, Lori Shepherd needs otherworldly advice when a stranger with a hidden agenda comes to town.
Even as the folks in the charming village of Finch open their arms to Amelia Thistle, Lori isn’t fooled by the woman’s unassuming persona. “Amelia” is famed artist Meg Bowen, and once her rabid fans figure it out they won’t be far behind. That’s why Lori offers to help Amelia conceal her identity and how she learns the real reason behind her visit: A family diary hints that one of Amelia’s ancestors was Mistress Meg, the Mad Witch of Finch. But as the clues pile up—and the fans close in—Lori will need Aunt Dimity’s help from the great beyond to uncover her village’s dark and secret past.

Lori gets into the strangest of things. This time she is trying to solve a mystery that is almost as old has the village. She gets into a geneology mystery that she didn't realize existed in their tiny village. The secrets are many and the conclusions will surprise you. A treasure hunt for sure!
