The “granny” makes a glorious comeback with 25 fresh takes on this iconic design to use in all sorts of pretty projects. Crocheters just love making these super-cute, -colorful and -portable units then combining them in countless ways to make anything and everything. Granny Squares, by Stephanie Göhr, Melanie Sturm and Barbara Wilder, offers so many new possibilities for getting creative with traditional double-crochet and chain-stitch techniques. In addition to patterns (both written and diagram), you get instructions for joining these little blocks to make lovely bedspreads and pillow covers, fun placemats and table runners, comfy-cozy hats and shawls, and even toasty-warm slippers and totes you’ll want to take everywhere.

I went to Amazon and was able to look inside this book. I thought some of the projects were cute (like the eyeglass case), some I would NEVER use (like the wall rack) and some I might make for family and friends (like the trimed towels) I own quite a few Granny Square books and some of these squares are in other books, if I had to base my purchase on the squares alone it would have been a 3 star review, but the projects I personally think are worth the purchase alone which bumps it to a 4 stars

I know what you mean. I hate it when theres not one. I am less likely to buy a book without a sneek peek.
