As a native Minnesotan, I was delighted when watching the DVD that came with "Knitting 101," to discover that the writer was from the Minneapolis area. That was a good thing, because the first project I chose to knit from the book was incredibly complicated. I am an experienced knitter, but the variety of steps in the project found me confounded, frustrated, and about ready to hurl the book into Puget Sound. However, with a little patience and attention to the graphics and directions which came with the book, I found myself connected with the beautiful pattern and eager to finish it. In short, I really recommend the book!

This is a great little reference for both starting knitters and knitters who need refreshers. Good pictures, steps, and easy projects. Includes a DVD with further explanations.
