Yes, I ordered this book based on the Rodale reputation. And it certainly looked liked a world of information. So much so that the book was a heavy tome uncomfortable to hold. The paper of the pages were poor newsprint quality and the print was in pale gray and a tiny font that made it impossible for me to read. I certainly expected more and the book was returned.

This is by far the most poorly constructed book I've laid eyes on. The print was very small, the pages were made of thin stock almost fragile I would venture to say, which made the big book, big and floppy. The pages were like smudged newspaper. I can't tell you very much about the content, the book was too awkward to deal with. I sent it back. Spare yourself some time and trouble to send it back, and don't dare think of gifting it to someone, it won't be appreciated. Rodale?!

My husband and I are part of a community garden and know very little about it. We got this book and think it's very helpful. It's an easy read, although the print is a bit small. I recommend it to others!

This book is oversized and the thin newspaper style pages make it floppy. The print is so small and blurry, and unlike the other reviewer, I am in my 30's and still have trouble holding the book or reading it. The book is like an oversized newspaper. Cheaply made and cheap ink. Just horrible. Don't waste your money. Preview elsewhere before you buy. It is crammed/jammed with 7,354 tips and facts (printed in small blurry type). Most gardeners know that if you are spending time with that many facts and tips then there's no one tedning the garden. A very poor concept slapped together to cash in on the newly emerging gardening craze.
