Not-so-fun fact: the average dinner at a restaurant chain contains over 1,200 calories, and costs about $35 per person. Few people understand the potential dangers of dining out better than David Zinczenko and Matt Goulding, the authors behind the runaway hit series Eat This, Not That! Their latest installment, Cook This, Not That! provides readers with an indispensable weight-loss weapon: the book is chock-full of low-calorie (but decadent!) recipes, healthy cooking techniques and smart nutritional strategies to help you eat better and lose weight without ever dieting again! You’ll also learn “37 Ways to Cook a Chicken Breast,” get the scoop on “A Dozen 10-Minute Pasta Sauces” and be privy to “The Ultimate Sandwich Matrix!”

I love this handy little book! It's colorful and interesting, (I bet kids would like it) and most of all, very, very helpful! Glad I ordered it. :)

This book is perfect for today's busy cooks trying to eat well and healthier at the same time. The receipes are simple and accompanied by beautiful photos. There are many ideas for creating your own variations and there is a lot useful, well-presented information packed in. I was amazed that everything in here is "real" food, not old-fashioned diet food, and it's really helping us change the way we eat by making pretty small changes and still eating really good food.

This book is both informative, well-described and it will encourage you how to make good and smart choices. It is an eye-opening experience to see what little changes can save you, on both your waist and your finances. The pictures are "clean" and the authors are providing easy-to-follow steps for all recipes. I especially like their chapter on crock pots. Their mix and match process is great, and lets you decide what you want to concoct in the kitchen. I made their featured parfaits for for a brunch last month, and people asked for more...though it was filling, and only about 50 calories (I made smaller portions since it was a 5-course meal). Definitely worth the money.
