Three cheers for Lynette Jensen! The adored quilter and fabric designer revives her popular Thimbleberries® Block-of-the-Month concept with Thimbleberries® Block by Block to Beautiful Quilts to once again show us how to create the kinds of quilts sure to be treasured for generations to come with:
• 50 lovely 12" block designs, including traditional favorites such as pinwheels, pointed stars, hearts, flying geese, four patch and hourglass. Mix-and-match as you see fit or use them in:
• 20 charming projects, including wallhangings and queen-sized quilts for every season, an array of ruffled pillows (one with a sweet, vintage inspired embroidered center square), lap blankets, table runners and more, all in Lynette’s signature country style. There’s even a suite of “Hometown Christmas” themed quilts that includes a mini tree skirt featuring wreath, tree, holly and cardinal motifs.
As always, Lynette makes quilting enjoyable for beginner and experienced quilters alike with her time-saving rotary cutting and piecing techniques, careful attention to detail, full-color diagrams and illustrations that ensure accuracy, fabulous fabric suggestions and, of course, inspiring photos of her beautiful quilts.

Have you admired her quilts and thought I don't think I can. This book is the best. One block at a time to beautiful quilts. Clear and detailed directions and drawings in full color. You cannot make a mistake and best of all the blocks are very do-able.
you can plan a full quilt, use the blocks for pillows, purses or tote bags, applique to a jacket. This is one book I wish I had found a long time ago.Enjoy and success are written here for all of us.

I really liked most of the patterns in the book and have already made two of them. The instructions are concise, clear, and easy to follow. The photos are pretty, and interesting. I plan to make more of the quilts in this book.

I bought the book for the setting of the cover quilt. Many of the blocks are nice, but some are a bit weird. If you like the cover, buy it, and if you like blocks, it's good. Instructions are always easy to follow.
