Whoever said it takes pain to stitch stylish patchwork bags never tried Susan Briscoe’s quick and simple quilting techniques. If you like working with fat quarters and experimenting with color, if you want to sew something that is both simple to construct and simply lovely, then you’ll love her designs for these fabulous fat quarter bags.
Put your favorite fat quarters to their most beautiful use with seven complimentary pairs of projects (one smaller, one larger)—for a total of 14 bags in all. Each pair of projects requires the same skills, so if the techniques are new to you, you can start with the smallest project then move on up to the main project once you’re ready. These purses, totes and carryalls run the gamut from a shabby chic swag bag with a curvy coin purse that perfectly mirrors the swag bag’s shape to an everyday satchel with a sturdy over-the-shoulder strap and a handy matching book cover bag.
Briscoe’s step-by-step instructions and templates (where needed) make these 14 designs a snap to complete, and her great ideas for using alternate fabric choices and embellishments to change the look and feel of these bags are sure to spark plenty of creative ideas for your own bags.

I really enjoy this book very easy directions for great projects.People are asking me to make them some.
Reviewer: Darlene
I like the variety and details of the projects shown in the book. I haven't had the time to try any of them yet, but I am sure that I will do several when I get started.

Not what I was looking for. Patterns just not my taste.
Reviewer: Brenda
Did not enjoy any of the bags in this book, the patterns seemed outdated and unattractive. There wasn't one bag that I wanted to make, or even inspired me. Wish I wouldn't have bought it!
