I am a visual person and the pictures, information and directions given were confusing. Need more pictures. Lots of really great ideas if you have a creative mind and can use your knowledge to create completely new projects with pictures given. It does have value. I would not pay more than 10.00 for this book.

This is one of those books that touts itself as being for beginners as well as experienced beaders, and to an extent, it absolutely is. There's just one problem, and this isn't the only book that has the problem, just the one I'm reviewing: It doesn't tell the beginner how to finish some pieces. Case in point: the book shows you how to do a piece called the Dutch spiral, a variation of a beaded rope. Beautiful technique. I had to try it. I've never done a beaded rope before, so when I was done, I looked to find out how to finish it. NOWHERE does it tell me how to finish that particular variation off, and the finishing the book DOES mention doesn't work for that variation. It goes unfinished. So, great book, but needs to take into consideration that beginners aren't going to know how to finish a piece, and tell them how. There's no point in including a variation if you aren't going to explain how to finish it off.
