“Clutter is simply part of the human condition. But that doesn’t mean we’re stuck with the messy, stacked-up status quo,” says expert clutter kicker Ellen Phillips. And, happily, that doesn’t mean that we need to get rid of the things we really love! Here, this organizer extraordinaire compiles sage advice from her own experience and fellow combatants in the clutter wars to help you decide what to keep, where to put it, and where to send what you don’t need anymore. From the front hall to the kitchen and from the closets to the garage, she offers proven (and painless) room-by-room “Five-minute Fixes,” “Tools of the Trade,” “Sanity Savers” and so much more that will put you in charge of your space, once and for all.

This was just another of those declutter books, that basically give the same info. as the others. It was not worth the price to me. It will be in my next yard sale, part of the decluttering process.

I have purchased so many.....lets call it around 30 books on organizing if not more...I found that alot of them were geared toward larger incomes, or had super complicated and time consuming ideas and tips which were completely not something I could devote myself too with two kids, a husband, a 6 day a week job, and a fairly small budget. This book however was wonderful! super easy quick and uncomplicated, not very time consuming ideas and tips that I could and did really use! I would read this in the evening before going to bed and take a pen and tablet with me to write down all the ideas I planned to use room by room. my house is more orderly, happier and less frustrating after reading this book and using alot of the tips and ideas. I recommend this to anyone that is looking for something easy understandable....and something that works with very little time :)

I bought this book to help a self described "pack-rat" friend de-clutter without fear. But ended up using it in my house too! I thought it would be a little idea book, but it was so much more. It is a huge reference book! But is broken down into small steps so you dont become overwhelmed. I love it because it goes through room by room with specific guidelines to help you analyze your situation and organize each space. It helps you determine what you really want to keep, and helps you get rid of the other stuff without guilt. I was able to finally tackle my closets and the bonus was I was able to give many things I could not use to people who did. Excellent buy!! Well worth the price.
