I learned to knit as a young girl, and decided to pick up up again 30 years later. Because of the long span of time, I consider myself a new knitter, and found this book to be VERY helpful in teaching me the basics again. I found the diagrams and instructions to be clear and easy to follow.

Although the few projects at the end are pretty basic, the book is really an encyclopedia of knitting stitches and techniques that are very well described and illustrated. It really serves as an important reference for anyone who is truly interested in knitting. Even an advanced knitted can get something from this book.
