Anna Dewdney
Anna Dewdney books have proven immensely popular as books for kids and adults alike. Her spirited, beautifully drawn children’s books include Grumpy Gloria (2006), Nobunny’s Perfect (2010) and Roly Poly Pangolin (2010). Anna Dewdney has held many jobs—middle-school teacher, bus driver, waitress, mail carrier, daycare teacher—but ever since she was a little girl, she’s wanted nothing more than to write and illustrate fun and educational children’s books.
The most beloved Anna Dewdney books for kids are from the Llama Llama series, which include Llama Llama Red Pajama (2005), Llama Llama Mad at Mama (2007), Llama Llama Misses Mama (2009) and Llama Llama Holiday Drama (2010). The stories focus on a moody young llama as he learns valuable life lessons (such as not throwing temper tantrums at the shopping center). This popular children’s author lives in an old house in Vermont with two teenage daughters and two extremely muddy dogs.
